You may be wondering how to check which refrigerant your current air-conditioning system is using. Before you read further, there are a few ways to identify:
NEA's Label pasted on your air-conditioner (from March 2020);
Refrigerant Label pasted on your outdoor unit; or
Simply check with our Daikin Proshop Ambassador
R32 is definitely more environmental-friendly. R32 has a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 675 which is 1,413 lower than that of R410A. The lower, the better! R32 is a single component refrigerant which makes reclamation easier while R410A is a blended refrigerant. Also, R32 does not deplete the ozone layer!
R32 helps you save on electrical bills. R32 gives you the best of both worlds in archiving high cooling capacity and desired temperature faster and reducing 10% in electricity consumption!
R32 enables your air-conditioners to use less refrigerant. With 20% lesser refrigerant charge as compared to R410A, R32 helps to reduce the emission of greenhouse gas. At the same time, heat exchangers and other components can be more compact and smaller in size.
